01Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how The Parse.ai Inc (“Parse”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit theparse.ai (the “Website”), contact us, book a working session, or otherwise interact with us.

Parse provides a deterministic, auditable intelligence platform for regulated lenders, covering predictive analytics, risk and regulatory intelligence, and credit underwriting (the “Platform”). We operate in the United States and India.

02Scope of this policy

This policy covers personal data we handle as a data controller (or “Data Fiduciary” under Indian law), mainly:

  • visitors to our Website;
  • prospective customers, partners and their representatives who contact us or book a session;
  • business contacts at our customers, such as the people who sign contracts with us or administer Platform accounts;
  • job applicants who reach us through the Website.

Customer data processed on the Platform. Our customers (banks, NBFCs, credit unions and fintech lenders) upload loan tapes, financial statements, bank statements, tax returns and similar records to the Platform. That data may include personal data about their borrowers. For that data, the customer is the controller (Data Fiduciary) and Parse acts only as a processor (Data Processor) under our customer agreement and data processing terms. We process it solely on our customer’s documented instructions. If you are a borrower and want to exercise rights over such data, please contact the lender you deal with; we will support them in responding.

The same applies to sample data a prospective customer shares with us during a working session or pilot.

03Personal data we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and booking details: name, work email, phone number, job title, company name, country, and anything you write when you book a working session or email us (for example at sales@theparse.ai).
  • Business relationship details: contract, billing and account administration contacts for our customers and partners.
  • Recruitment details: CV, employment history and other information you choose to send if you apply for a role.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the Website we and our service providers may collect IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, time spent and similar usage data, through server logs, cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).

Information from third parties

We may receive business contact information from public professional sources (such as LinkedIn or company websites), event organisers, referral partners and scheduling tools, where they are permitted to share it.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send through the Website, sensitive personal data such as Aadhaar or Social Security numbers, bank account details, health data, or borrower records. Borrower data should only be shared with us under a signed agreement.

05Who we share personal data with

We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above, with:

06Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to make the Website work. With your consent where the law requires it, we may also use analytics cookies to understand how the Website is used. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works.

We do not use cookies for third-party advertising. Any analytics provider we use processes this data only on our behalf and is bound by contract to protect it.

We honour Global Privacy Control signals where applicable law requires it.

07International data transfers

We operate in the United States and India, and our service providers may process data in other countries. Your personal data may therefore be transferred to and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States and India. Where we transfer personal data, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as contractual commitments (including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses where relevant), and we comply with any transfer restrictions notified by the Government of India under the DPDP Act.

08How long we keep personal data

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, then delete or anonymise it. As a guide:

  • Enquiries and prospects: up to 24 months after our last interaction, unless a business relationship begins.
  • Customer contacts and contract records: for the term of the contract plus the period required by tax, accounting and legal obligations (typically up to 8 years).
  • Website analytics data: up to 14 months.
  • Job applications: up to 12 months after the role is filled, unless you agree to a longer period.

Customer data on the Platform is retained and deleted according to the customer’s instructions and our agreement with them.

09How we protect personal data

We use technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, logging and monitoring, and staff confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify affected individuals and authorities, including the Data Protection Board of India, as required by applicable law.

10Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the rights below. To use them, email us at sales@theparse.ai. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the time the law requires. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

India (DPDP Act, 2023)

You may:

  • get a summary of the personal data we process and the processing activities;
  • correct, complete, update or erase your personal data;
  • withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it (this does not affect processing already done);
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity;
  • raise a grievance with us at sales@theparse.ai, and if it is not resolved, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

United States

Residents of California and other states with privacy laws may have the right to know what personal data we collect, use and disclose; to access, correct and delete it; to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” and targeted advertising (we do neither); and to appeal our decision on a request. You may use an authorised agent. In the past 12 months we have collected the categories described in section 3 (identifiers, professional information, internet activity and approximate geolocation) for the purposes in section 4, and disclosed them only to the recipients in section 5.

You may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, give additional notice where appropriate.

14Platform customers

If you are a customer, our handling of your Platform data is also governed by your agreement with us and our data processing terms. If those documents conflict with this policy for Platform data, they take precedence.
